In Short
Value Sort for Amazon makes no network requests and contains no analytics or tracking. It reads only the Amazon search page you have open and changes only the order and appearance of the results already on it. Nothing is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
What It Stores, and Where
To work, it keeps two things in your browser's own extension storage. They never leave your browser.
- Your settings: the quality/price weighting, the minimum review count, whether sorting is on, whether sponsored results are dimmed, the Trust after value, and whether the panel and its Advanced section are open.
- Recent searches: for each of your last 200 Amazon searches, the site and search term and which price basis was used (per unit or list price), so a search doesn't switch basis between visits. Older entries are dropped automatically.
Removing the extension deletes all of it.
Where It Runs
Only on amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.ca, amazon.com.au, amazon.in and amazon.sg. On those sites it does nothing on pages without search results.
